16 External Battery Charger Control
16.1 Overview
ThePMIChastheabilitytocontrolanexternalbatterychargerIC.Inordertodeterminetheappropriateinputcurrentlimit
forthechargerduringcertainscenarios,theCHGDET_Bpinisassertedorde-assertedbytheUSBPHYontheplatform
dependingonoutputcurrentcapabilityoftheUSBchargerdetected.
ILIM0andILIM1pinsofMYXPM6021willoutputsignalstothechargertosetthechargerinputcurrentlimit.Theexternal
chargeriscapableofgeneratinganinterruptwhichwillbeforwardedtotheSoCviaMYXPM6021.Thisinterruptwillcome
fromtheCHGRINT_Bpin.Duringchargingthebatterytemperaturewillbemonitored.
16.2 Charger Current Limit
Theexternalchargerinputcurrentlimitsaresetaccordingtothetablebelow.

immediatelyVDCIN_SENSEfallbelowtheinternalvoltagereferencethresholdtoinformtheexternalchargertolowerits
currentlimitattheremovalofAC/DCadapter.
